Babymoon Maternity Photoshoot on Catalina Island

Catalina Island//Deepika & Harsh chose to celebrate their “babymoon” on Catalina Island with a baby announcement/maternity photoshoot. This was my first time ever visiting Catalina Island, and I was so excited to visit this little island off the California coast. I had boarded the ferry to Avalon in the afternoon, and planned to have an hour to explore before I met up with the couple. I walked around Avalon and purchased myself an ice cream cone from a local ice cream shop, and took in the sights of the Island. Once I met up with Deepika and Harsh, we hopped into their golf cart and road around the island capturing photos in all the spots they had selected. Deepika had originally wanted to take their babymoon in Hawaii, but they opted for something a little closer as they were from San Jose. We started with a few photos in front of the iconic Catalina Casino, and then made our way to Descanso Beach Club, and took some photos with the Casino in the background.. Afterwards, we made our way over to Hamilton Cove where the couple was staying, and took our last couple of photos with the beautiful villas in the background. I am hoping to explore more areas in the US on my journey to becoming a destination wedding photographer. This was an amazing experience, and I cannot wait to go back to Catalina Island soon.
