Unique and Creative Wedding Photography in Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills//Capturing weddings is always an honor, but when the couple works in the film industry and adds their unique creative flair, it becomes something truly special. Last month, I had the pleasure of photographing a small yet unforgettable ceremony at the Beverly Hills Courthouse for a couple I’ve had the joy of working with before. I photographed their engagement party last summer, so being part of their wedding day felt like coming full circle.

The couple’s story is as unique as their wedding. They met years ago through an app called Untappd, and their shared passion for creativity and adventure has been evident from the start. True to their artistic nature, they chose to document their wedding day from their own perspective as well, using a Super 8mm camera and a Polaroid camera. The result was a blend of nostalgic, timeless moments captured both by them and through my lens.

The groom’s family was present to witness the vows, but unfortunately, the bride’s family couldn’t attend in person. Life threw a curveball their way with a flat tire on the morning of the ceremony. Yet, thanks to technology, they were able to join the special moment via FaceTime, sharing their love and support from afar.

After the courthouse ceremony, we headed to the Beverly Hills Civic Center to capture some portraits. The architecture and surroundings provided a perfect backdrop for their post-ceremony photos, enhancing the elegant, cinematic feel they desired.

Our next stop was The Hideaway on Rodeo Drive, a chic and intimate location where we captured a few more moments before the wedding party celebrated with a relaxed lunch. The couple's love story, their creative vision, and the intimate atmosphere made this wedding truly one-of-a-kind.

Being able to document this day for such a special couple was a privilege. Their wedding was a reminder that love, creativity, and a little spontaneity make for the most memorable celebrations.
